This is the official website of the Sakiyama Peninsula Nagisa Tomari Promotion Council. There are events that can only be experienced here, such as the hidden Noto "Sakiyama Peninsula", the "Hama-sale" where you can buy freshly caught fish, the adult social studies tour "Set Ami Doba", and the "Ship carpenter" that has continued since the Edo period. There are many. For those who are far away, we recommend the service where you can purchase seafood from the Sakiyama Peninsula at an online shop! It's fun just to look at it!

Sakiyama district is located in northeastern part of Nanao-City. The west part of the district is characterized by
“Satoumi” area surrounded by the sea at the tip of Sakiyama Peninsula, while the east part is composed of rolling hills、 namely “Satoyama” area including four neighborhood associations. The district facing Notojima Island across Nanao Bay.
There are many traditional cultures handed down from ancient times, historical heritages as well as sightseeing spots. Among these are “Kannonjima Island” and “Noto- Kannonzaki Lighthouse”. Kannonzaki Lighthouse plays an important role as guidepost for ships going in and out the Nanao Bay as well as for people engaged in fishing on nearby sea. Around Mt. Hiyori near Kannonnzaki on which the Lighthouse is founded, there is a rest spot for cormorants
(capture spot of cormorant in other word) where the birds rest their wings. Mentioning particularly about cormorants, one of them, so to speak, a Sacred Cormorant (we call it “U-sama” in Japanese) plays a leading role in a nationally-designated important intangible folk-cultural property, namely “U-sama Festival of Keta”.
This is really a place rich in nature, still preserving ancient history and culture.
